Review of Scottish Parliament Boundaries at Cardowan by Stepps

The Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland conducted an Interim Review of Scottish Parliament Boundaries at Cardowan by Stepps.

The Commission submitted the Report and Final Recommendations for its Review of the Scottish Parliament constituencies of Glasgow Provan and Coatbridge and Chryston and Scottish Parliament regions of Glasgow and Central Scotland to Scottish Ministers, on 18 March 2020.

The Commission’s review was in response to changes to the boundary between North Lanarkshire and Glasgow City council areas in this vicinity in April 2019.

The Scottish Parliament constituency and region boundaries near Cardowan differed from the administrative area boundary between Glasgow City and North Lanarkshire council areas.

The Commission’s recommendations, will align the Scottish Parliament constituency and region boundaries with the council area boundary for the next Scottish Parliament elections which are currently scheduled for May 2021.
